A thousand thanks for your tireless efforts on behalf of all forum users.
I’ve got an important bit of news: we’re upgrading the forums to a new, more secure form of phpBB. What this should, in theory, do, is make your lives a bit easier. The security system ought to filter out more of those annoying spammers.
The admin options all look to be more or less as they were (I haven’t struck any changed procedures in my cursory feature check). However, I think it’d be a great idea for you to have a bit of a look around the new set up before we take it live.

You should find that your existing password works. If it doesn’t I really need to hear about it because that could mean the same thing happening to our users.
At this stage my plan is to take the forums offline Saturday night and to import all the posts and stuff from the old set up to the new and then to restart things on Sunday morning. I’ll post an alert to our users on Friday.
