Sunday arvo
Posted by: Don on August 3rd, 2008Hello Friends,
We having fun yet Sydney? What a day! Lots of fun options around as Huey gradually winds down the powerometer. I started by checking Curly around midday. Heaps of snappy peaks on offer, but very busy in the water, especially down the south end where I counted around 60 folks adding to their wave counts. Up over the hill and on to Dee Why where it was smaller than Curly, somewhat… okay… very slightly less well attended by Huey’s acolytes. Decided not to spend the day driving around generating greenhouse pollution, so headed to Longy. Got a few in the beachy and it was all good. What a way to spend an hour or two of beautiful Sunday afternoon…
And while I was out, Ross found time to go into the RealSurf engine room where he managed to net the gremlin responsible for messing up our daily image gallery. Pesky li’l devils those gremlins… but you get ‘em when you make the kinds of changes we have lately. Your patience appreciated! BTW, while I can’t always promise to meet every request, I really appreciate it when folks take time to let me know about issues with the site. With something like 60 different versions of the major browsers out there, we just can’t pick up every issue on our own.
Looking at the prospects for the coming week, I’m not too optimistic about our surf prospects. In general it looks as though we’re in for a pretty quiet period. With luck it won’t go flat for another day or two, but right now the models are showing short period and small prospects from late tomorrow through about Friday.
Oh well, I guess it’ll give me time to do some video editing for you all!
Have a top old evening, and stay in touch!
