Mid-arvo, Sunday & a few tiny ones
Posted by: Don on August 10th, 2008Hello Friends
Out and about on errands of one sort or another and made sure I stopped by the beach to grab you a snap or three. After a bitterly cold change at lunchtime, this afternoon cleared up pretty nicely along the northern beaches. A stiff offshore breeze was making the tiny scraps of south swell look their best. But there were very few takers. Three or four at Cooks Terrace, a few up toward Mona Vale, and half a dozen in at Northy. Cutest peak was the little right hander that showed some nice form before it snapped over on the bank. Got a nice pocket shot of a cat on a longboard. The alley right was fat and little and slow, but it was putting smiles on a few dials anyway. And iron guy of the day award goes to the guy bodysurfing in boardies and flippers at the alley. He picked up a couple impressively long lefts too. Impressive skill.
Hope you’ve had yourself a top old Sunday!
Here’s some pics…
- Wind brushed set wave at Cooks Tce 245pm-ish
- Mid-afternoon, winter, North Narrabeen
- Setting the line with precision (3ish, Norffy)
- 3pm-ish: grabbing another long left without so much as a wetty.
- 3pm-ish: Extracting maximum velocity from the very pretty and uncrowded, but gutless puny-ness.
