Hello Friends,

Well, as we’ve been anticipating for some days now, Saturday starts with comparatively mild temps as the NW wind brings us some warmth from outback. Should be a good day for voting, particularly early before the temps get up to 28 as those winds pick up.

Surf situation is that there pretty much is no surf situation. We have about a metre of ESE, 7 sec period windswell. If you are truly desperate – and you’ll need to be – you might just find something in the waist high range at a place like Curl Curl. But I’d be taking the fish or the mal.

The marine forecast is calling for NW winds of 15-20 kts, which will gradually move around to the NE this afternoon.

Sunday’s outlook is for N-NW 25-33 kts tomorrow and I really can’t see a great deal of reason to b hopeful about our surf prospects for the coming week. It looks to me as though we’ll be stuck with small to marginal conditions for the next few days at the least. In fact, right now there really isn’t much of anything on the charts to give east coasters joy.

If you’re voting in Warringah, be sure to have a scan down the candidate responses Surfrider Foundation collected this week. RealSurf’s Shari and Barry are running for We Love Warringah with Paul Jaffe (a keen surfer and Longy local). Click here to check ’em out.
