Nice morning in Sydney, but…
Posted on September 15th, 2008 in Big Picture, Dee Why.Hello Friends,
As Matt has already noted, Spring has well and truly sprung. It’s breezy (10-15kts from the north), it’s sunny, it’s strangely mild – and there’s just about flat anywhere that isn’t directly exposed to the tiny and weak NE windswell. Yesterday evening there were a few okay sized windswell waves along the North Collaroy to Narrabeen stretch, but I’d guess we’ll need to wait for the wind to maybe push up something similar today.
The Bureau says that we can expect N-NW of 20-25kts later this morning and an increase to 25-33 kts this afternoon.
That’s not a great wind direction for making us something to surf though. We might get a little something but my hunch is that it’ll be as weak as a kitten with the flu.
Outlook is for a very small to flat week ahead. The best hope currently is shaping for a small but possibly mal- and fish-able S-SE pulse from late Tuesday through Thursday morning. If we get chest high bomb sets out of it, I’ll be very pleasantly surprised.
BTW, I plan to post a new video later this morning of some waves I shot last Thursday morning at Dee Why point. I’ll let you know when I’ve uploaded it to realsurf.tv.
In the meantime, go well and may all your plans unfold with perfect precision!
WTF!?
Posted on September 15th, 2008 in Dee Why.Dee Why Point looks like a sewer main’s errupted under the water somewhere. Just as well there are no waves today — you wouldn’t want to be out in it at the moment. Looks VERY dodgy.

Posted on September 15th, 2008 in South Coast.Crisp morning but warming up with the N/NW wind on the way. 1-2ft NE wind waves, not very attractive after last weeks fare. Maybe good for a splash to cool down. Rosco.

Posted on September 15th, 2008 in Central Coast, Surf Reports.Fine, clear and mild on the Central Coast this Monday morning. The swell is smooth and small at 1 – 2 feet from the east northeast. There is a light northwest breeze. High tide 0755 and low tide around 1350. Local barometer 1005 hpa, 93% humidity, 13 degrees C. Have a great week!

Posted on September 15th, 2008 in Surf Reports. This morning, we have some lovely knee-high dribble on the menu. Please help yourself.
Next season’s parking stickers are available now, so the swap is on again, and URGENTLY NEEDS MANLY & PITTWATER STICKERS. Works like this – if you have a spare you want to swap, drop an email to stickerswap@hotmail.com with what you want/have in the subject line, i.e. “Have Pittwater, Want Manly”. If you want to buy a sticker, don’t contact me. Contact the relevant council, or post something in the Realsurf forum
