Early riser call for Sunday
Posted by: Don on December 14th, 2008Hello Friends,
Your webmaster will probably make a leisurely start today, so here are a few thoughts on the prospects for Sunday morning formulated on Saturday evening.
First, here’s the Bureau’s call:
Sunday: Wind: W /SW 25/33 knots.Sea: 2 to 3 metres Swell: N/NE 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to S 2 to 3 metres.
This evening the NE windswell was probably in the 2-2.5 metre range, so if the Bureau’s right, then I’d expect mainly waist high stuff for the first visitors to the beach this morning.
The swell models aren’t showing the south swell arriving quite as early (they reckon it’ll kick into gear overnight on Sunday) as the Bureau seems to be indicating, so it’ll be interesting to see who gets it right. Good to see some solid swell in prospect though.
Weather should be rain free too, but not as hot as Saturday was.
I’ll wander in with a Sunday report later this morning… in the meantime, go well!
