Period: Monday 15th to Sunday 21st December.
Monday. High tide 9.06am. With no surfing guests today the guides were in maintenance mode, which was lucky because there was minimal swell about on our side, although the north shore had a heap of waves.
Tuesday. High tide 10.08am. Again no swell on our side so the new guests and guides shot over to the north side. With a solid north swell and glassy conditions Dragons Breath was absolutely going off. Double to triple overhead and round, heavy barrels. Every wave was spitting, hence the name Dragons Breath. With only 3 of them out it was quite an awesome experience. Super perfect but because of the size and hollowness not too many waves were caught but the ones that were ridden were very memorable. This is a very very serious spot.
Wednesday. High tide 11.14am. After brekkie 4 of the guests paddled out @ Resorts and had a great surf. It was really clean with light offshore winds and shoulder high waves. Mainly rights which were nice and wallie, some letting you do 2 or 3 turns with the odd barrel. All guests stoked.
Thursday. High tide 12.18pm. Coconuts was the spot for a great 2 hour surf. It was really glassy, shoulder high and quite fun. Most waves were pretty quick straight into the bazz, only letting you do a turn at the end. Then with a wind change they went over to Pebbles which was only small but was peeling nicely, and surfed there for another couple of hours.
Friday. High Tide 1.20pm. All guests today went on the Island Tour and some took their boards. They got a few right handers at Lalomanu, providing some entertainment for our no surfing guests. Again only small but with no one out but the sun it was pretty fun, warm and clean.
Saturday. High tide 2.15pm. Not many waves today but still a few guests went for a bash out @ Resorts for a few waves in super Samoan conditions.
Sunday. High tide 3.02pm. Tiny waves again out @ Resorts so they headed to the north side, but no luck with swell there so Sliding Rock was the venue for some bum/slippery rock sliding, always good value. Small onshore waves on both sides of the island.

Today’s shot is one taken from the shore with Dragon’s Breath in the distance, it’s a little fuzzy but you can definitely see how serious a wave it is.
