worth a paddle
Posted on January 13th, 2009 in South Coast.Swell has eased up a little onite into the 2-4ft range with some good sets still to be had. No wind early so great surface condx, but a big incoming tide not helping the majority of places I’d guess. Worth a splash, but not under Windang bridge
Rosco.

Posted on January 13th, 2009 in Surf Reports. We got waves. They’re from the NE, meaning only certain spots will be working, but they’re clean & headhigh

Dee Why: Small and crowded
Posted on January 13th, 2009 in Dee Why, Surf Reports.Better than it’s been for a while but it’s still pretty ordinary. Waist high sets on the Point and about the same at the beach. Loads of folks out up the beach at 0730.
Morning all, here’s my call
Posted on January 13th, 2009 in At large, California.Hello Friends
Another other-side-of-the-planet surf call for ya…
At 0600 the wind was just a light south breeze along the Sydney coast. The Bureau says: Wind: E/NE 10/15 knots, freshening to NE 15/20 knots in the afternoon and reaching 20/25 knots later.Sea: about 1 metre rising to 1.5 to 2 metres in the afternoon and evening. Swell: E 1.5 to 2 metres. And they reckon it’ll be a mostly sunny day with highs along the coast into the upper 20s.
Surf outlook is for more of the same. So, not flat with some potentially fun little sections to be had in the semi-protected north corners once the stupid tide drops from around lunchtime.
Nothing doing in southern California this morning for surfers – total, abject flatness. Weather’s ridiculously nice though. Our high will probably be pretty close to Sydney’s. Not exactly wintery.
Go well with your day!

There is a light north northwest breeze then a northeast breeze later. Low tide 0415 and high tide around 1040. Local barometer 1015 hpa, 93% humidity, 18 degrees C. Have a good one.
