Dee Why: Still, overcast and still flat

Posted by: on January 21st, 2009

A grey old morning in Dee Why at 0730 today.  And Huey ain’t thowing anything our way again today. A bit of good news though: The MHL Sydney Buoy is back online again after having it’s anchor line severed by a passing ship on 22 December and washing up on MonaVale beach. Irony is that it was only replaced on 17 December. Let’s hope the mariners take a bit more care around the new one this time. It’s currently showing 1.5m of SE swell at 7 sec, translating into, well, not much of anything… Fingers crossed it’ll improve soon, but not much on the WAM models to suggest that we’ll see anything significant in the near future.
