Morning round up, part 1

Hello friends,

A bit late I guess, but had to do a meeting and couldn’t really get to this until now.

About 0800 the tide was too full for much in the way of quality.

First stop on this morning’s round was Warriewood. The wind wasn’t really an issue there, and it seemed as though a bit of swell was getting in too. But the tide was a killer. Only four people in the water because it was so fantastically inconsistent. Eventually a kneeboarder managed to get into a little thing. It faded out on him pretty quickly, but at least I got a shot. Naturally as I pulled out of the carpark, a more reasonable set showed up. Always the way.

0800 ish at Norffy was less than spectacular, but they were catchable.

Over the hill and on to lovely North Narrabeen. My wasn’t it a picture under leaden skies. Hardly anyone out, but surprisingly given the south swell direction and absurd tide, there were actually a couple of sort of catchable things coming in for the little crew who were on deck for the occasion. A few more bods were down toward carparks, but their main activity appeared to be paddling and then pulling back from various shutdowns. Grabbed a picture of someone doing battle with the slop burger peaks at Northy, and then it was back behind the wheel for further explorations – about which I shall report shortly…
