Top End of the Insular….
Posted on February 13th, 2009 in Surf Reports.Looks pretty yukky to me, from Avalon down to Warriewood. Admittedly, someone at W’wood was actually out there (presumably doing some surfing), but I wasnt willing to stand around in the rain forever to see them attempt to get a sloppy mushburger. Clearly, the long swell-drought is driving people to do absurd things in order to simulate surfing

Slip, slop, slap. And keep an eye out below…

Lotsa slipping and slopping out there this morning. Crew of about 8 at Dee WhyPoint at 0730 managing to make the most of some pretty ordinary waves. It’s about head high on the sets but mostly it’s take-off, bottom turn, close out. The pictures make it look better than it actually is. Charts and models say it’ll continue to get bigger over the next few days but with SE winds forecast don’t expect the quality to improve.

Miserable and ordinary
