Your webmaster had a call from Sydney Morning Herald journalist Malcolm Knox yesterday, and ‘lo this morning he sees his casual quotes displayed in glorious black and light grey on the front page of said paper. (Always a thrill for a long time SMH subscriber!)

ANY serious surfer knows the best waves are at dawn and dusk, when the light is soft, the wind drops and the swell gathers into distinct glassy lines. Any serious surfer also knows that dawn (ask Avalon’s Andrew Lindop) and dusk (ask Bondi’s Glenn Orgias) are the times of day most favoured by the creature known, fearfully yet affectionately, as Man in the Grey Suit.

And thanks to our man in NZ, the mighty Bruce, we learn that our humble site has picked up a mention in the august NZ Herald. Looks like a quick subbing and repackaging for the local audience of Malcolm’s story, but we’re not complaining. Here’s a sample:
