Not much change to the MHL Sydney buoy data as of first light. And Dee Why still looked very small in the first light of dawn.

Will head out for a closer look soon. In the meantime, here are the basic details as we get started on Friday.

Swell is SSE at 2 metres on average at close to 9 seconds apart. Seas + swell are over 3m and peak period component is just over 9 sec.

Here’s the latest marine forecast from the Bureau,  note that they expect something too.

Friday until midnight: Wind: W 8/13 knots at first, becoming SE/NE 10/15 knots in the afternoon.Sea: to 1 metre. Swell: S 2 to 3 metres, breaking dangerously close inshore.
Saturday: Wind: W 5/10 knots, becoming E/NE 10/15 knots in the afternoon. Sea: to 1 metre. Swell: S 2 to 3 metres, decreasing.
Sunday: Wind: E/SE 10/20 knots.
