For the first time in Tasmanian junior surfing history two surfers have taken out dual divisions.  Hamish Renwick (Clifton) in under 18 and under 16 male divisions  and Zoey Grey (Marrawah) in the  under 18 and under 16 female divisions.

Near perfect 1 metre conditions greeted surfers at Shelley Beach on Saturday with powerful innovative surfing being a feature from the likes of Hamish, Hugh Westacott (Clifton) and Tom Gray ( Shelley Point).

Sundays strong cross shore winds made for challenging conditions in shifting 1 metre conditions. Long time sparring partners Hamish Renwick and Tom Gray pushed each others surfing to the limit all day. In the girls Zoey Gray and Sophie Burke exchanged wave for wave in a close fought final.

The under 14’s saw Kelly Nordstom surf way beyond his years to take out the Under 14’s . Emerging surfer awards were given to Harry Bowe (Lauderdale) and Lizzie Stokley (Bruny)
