Few waves about but tides are no good
Posted on May 26th, 2009 in Curl Curl, Surf Reports.I hit Dee Why first thing this morning which was OK- Curly was 2-3 feet but full and getting fuller as the high tide is around late morning. Best waves first thing and late afternoon. Winds offshore, sun is out and it’s a cracker day. Tomorrow looks good too. Enjoy.
A few snaps from this morning
Posted on May 26th, 2009 in At large.Made a quick loop of the plateau to grab some extra snaps of this morning. Looks as though there are some fun ones in the chest high range around the place. Whether it’s the Dee Why to Longy stretch or Collaroy-Narrabeen beach, there are little peaks aplenty, despite the high tide.
Sunny morning in Sydney
Posted on May 26th, 2009 in Big Picture, Dee Why.Hello Friends,
The quick version: Much cleaner and still some waves but the swell is dropping. According to the MHL data, it’s a touch under 2 metres at a bit under 10 seconds from the ESE. Wind is light as the day gets started and is set to go around to the northern quarters later. Late shower expected, but as we kick things off, it’s still only partly cloudy. However, once those late showers arrive, it’s set to stay cloudy and showery for the rest of the week.
Will try to update with some thoughts about the swell outlook later in the day.
Have a good one!

Barrels a Plenty In Byron Bay Today May 25th 2009
Posted on May 26th, 2009 in Byron, Cool Picks, Editor's picks, Just for fun, Local Colour, Surf Reports. There were some pretty chunky little barrels to be had In Byron Bay Today. The little white board set, finally got there day. And about time too, the crew that don’t pick up a log when it’s small, have had to head out of town for a few weeks now to find waves. So it was good to see them get their share in Byron bay today.
