Yep, it’s big

This one peeled for over 100 metres.

Not quite as big as the beachy, but no complaints from this rider at daybreak.

Hello Friends,

Update: got just enough light for a couple snaps and I can tell you it’s damn cold standing there in the wind and 8 degree temps waiting to hit the shutter button. I’ll bet suiting up in the carpark was pretty cozy for all those chaps and chapettes who did the dawn patrol. Okay, I’m off on a bit of a run around to see what else is showing a wave. PB has headed north on the same mission, so we should have a few piccies up for you later.

Waiting for enough light to take a picture, but can tell you that it looks to be in the double overhead range. Swell is out of the south as expected. It’s averaging 4 metres at sea and the power setting is on a juicy 11 seconds (with peaks into the 13 sec range).

Wind is west at around 15 kts. Next tide is a high at 1034.

Pic up soon, and then I’m off for a look around to report on the other options….
