Byron Bay Today Sunday July 5th 2009
Posted by: Big Ben on July 6th, 2009We’re baaaaaaack, not that we ever left. But after six straight days of sifting through the most popular shots of the last six months, I must say it was really nice be out of the office, In Byron Bay Today. We’ve got a very typical northcoast winter weather pattern at the moment. Beautiful clear & cold sunny mornings with westerly winds and very, very, very south swell. In fact it’s so damned southerly that it’s almost running out to sea. The end result being we are all sorely teased with the promise of waves, yet all we get is very small lines coming into the bay instead. But hey what can you do? Pull out the log of course and go for a slide. it’s silly time. There’s not much point in grumbling about lack of surf. Better to just make the best of what we got. Now despite the lack of swell it was a stunner of a day. The sun was out; it was actually warm too, if you got out of the morning wind. And then there was that sunset! Seriouisly folks it could have made a hard bloke weep; I’ve seen some stunners, but the sunset was an absolute mind blower, In Byron Bay Today.
