Things have deteriorated
Posted on July 9th, 2009 in South Carolina. For Thursday expect another day of light winds mostly from the east with a chance of rain at anytime but especially in the afternoon. The little 2 foot swell will be hard to find except with the incoming tide which will be around 3:30 pm. But between the east wind and rain chance I doubt you will find much of that.

Posted on July 9th, 2009 in Mona Vale. The swell has backed off quite a bit today, but it was looking fairly clean this morning, worth getting out there before it gets blown out as usual!
Getting marginal
Posted on July 9th, 2009 in Big Picture, Dee Why.Hello Friends,
Not the best looking conditions down at Dee Why beach this morning. Swell has dropped again overnight and it now looks as though the average wave is in the waist high range. Undoubtedly there will be some bigger sets, but if it’s like yesterday, it’ll be pretty disorganised and distinctly windswell-y. Weather promises to be fairly ordinary as well, so it’s looking like a good day to hoe into your chore list.
Might be a plan to block out some surf time in your diary for Sunday-Monday if you’re in the Sydney region. Here’s why:
The prospect is for a juicy east to ESE swell to begin filling in from late Saturday and, on current reckoning, to last through Tuesday. How good has this winter been?
Have yourself a top old day!

- Mickey, whether he’s ripping his shorty, flying his fish, playing silly buggers on a bodyboard or pulling straight leg tens on his log. He does it with flair. A realsurfer surfs, what they ride is a matter of choice, not status. In Byron Bay Today.
We’re a funny bunch up here, In Byron Bay Today. You can give us cyclonic winds, rain, hail, huge seas and shocking beach erosion and somehow, we pick ourselves up and keep going. But God forbid that it gets a bit cold. Ooh no we don’t like that at all. It was cold in Byron today & my God didn’t we carry on a like pack of nancy’s. You know there are those of us that laughed off hail stones the size of golf balls as they pinged our boards and heads out the Pass last year. But the cold turns us into pussies up here. Nah just extracting the urine. Truth is it’s just Bloody chilly and it’s caught everyone by surprise. But there’s a few little lines finaly. Althoguh not much push in it. The Ocean sides blowing a gale and the bay is soft and small. Get the logs out, In Byron Bay Today.
