We have waves
Posted by: Ted the Kiwi on July 12th, 20093pm update. Well the new swell has certainly kicked in this arvo with some lovely and sizeable waves hitting Manly and although the wind is not perfect its clean down the northern end of the beach. Queenscliff is the pick of it with some lovely rights firing in with a few closeout sets to keep ya on your toes. The bigger ones would be almost 6 foot and they are very very nice. Its a tough paddle but well worth it.
Although to be honest the northly aspect of the wind is ruining things a little. The new swell has definitely started to arrive with some lovely looking 3 foot sets with a bit of power in them hitting the beach this morning. The only problem is that we have had 12 knot winds from the north all night and as a result we are a little bit bumpy on the face and not as perfect as she could be. If you surfed yesterday and enjoyed yourself then you should be definitely hitting the water today. Looks like the wind will stay from this angel for the rest of the day sadly. Will probably shift a littel more west tom. Fingers crossed.
