Sometimes you’re right and sometimes you’re not.

I blew Tuesdays tide time, sorry about that. If you went out in the AM there was still some small waves but lighting chased me back indoors. I think for Wednesday the morning is still going to be you’re best opportunity while the ESE winds are light and if the buoy data is correct at 10 sec, and 2.5 feet, you may catch a ride if your longboard is big enough. The buoy data fot Thursday and Friday is also showing better than usual SC conditions at 10 sec and 3-4 feet possibly. We will keep you posted.

Where’s Huey?

Hello Friends,

Breezy and unseasonably mild this morning in Sydney. Wind’s out of the NNW, which would be okay if we had some swell. Sadly, I can detect no sign of such at Dee Why, nor in the MHL data. The numbers are stark: maybe a metre of SE windswell with a period of 5 seconds. Chop, in a word. There is some 12 sec stuff in the mix, but I saw no sign of it when I climbed aloft for this morning’s snap. Maybe, just maybe, a knee high set wave will turn up at the exposed spots, but the wind is forecast to kick up to 20-30 kts inshore and 25-33kts at sea, so it’s pretty unlikely much of anything will get to us.

There’s nothing much showing on the forecast models for the next 48 hours where we’re concerned. It looks as though we might possibly get a little south pulse for Fri-Sat. Fingers crossed on that one…

today we have a lake……..

Yesterday was close although there were a few in the late arvo that were ridden. But today we definitely have a reasonable lake confronting us.  Strong offshores have blown most of the night and so instead of any swell we have a lovely warm day so its not all bad as there is nothing worse than a flat day thats cold and wet!!!!!!

Fine, windy and warm on the Central Coast this Wednesday morning.  The swell is small and smooth at 1 – 2 feet from the east southeast.  There is moderate & gusty west northwest breeze forecast to freshen later.  High tide 0815 and low tide around 1350.  Local barometer 1005 hpa, 17 degrees C. 65% humidity.   Have a good one.
