Back in business

Hello Friends,

Surfaced around 0300 to sound of the sea a km away. Checked buoy data: swell had popped up to 4-6 m at 8sec. Fell back asleep. Just going out for closer look now that it’s getting light. Will try to fire up a live post (see bottom right of page for link) and to get some pics to share later.

Looks like swell’s peaked, but still okay size out there.

Here’s the word from the Bureau:

Sydney Coastal Waters, Broken Bay to Port Hacking and 60nm seawards:
Friday until midnight: Wind: S/SW 13/18 knots, turning S/SE 5/10 knots in the afternoon, then NW 5/10 knots in the eveningSea: about 1.5 metres, abating to less than 1 metre. Swell: S/SE 1.5 to 2 metres, decreasing.
Saturday: Wind: NW/NE 5/10 knots increasing to 10/15 knots later.Sea: to about 1 metre.Swell: SE 1 to 1.5 metres.
Sunday: Wind: N/NW 10/20 knots increasing to W 20/30 knots late.
