Yep, still on hold
Posted on August 7th, 2009 in Big Picture, Dee Why.Hello Friends,
Looks as though Huey’s about to re-arrange the furniture. A strong SW change is due to rattle through the place this afternoon and in its wake we should see some change to the micro conditions.
Right now the dominant swell direction is out of the east, but the average period is only 6 seconds, so the best ones are struggling to make knee high at Dee Why.
So, looks like a good day to square a few obligations away as we look forward to seeing what Huey serves up for us in the next few days.
Go well!

Posted on August 7th, 2009 in Byron, Just for fun, Local Colour, Surf Reports, Surf culture, surf photography.Geez did Huey just hit the replay button In Byron Bay Today or what? The swell was just a tad smaller but that was about the only difference, everything else was a perfect copy of the last few days. We’ve been blessed with warm weather, light winds and clean small waves all week. But the operative word here is SMALL we really haven’t seen any sign of substantial swell for some time now. Now as most of you would know. This weekend sees the Sea Cell gallery’s Zine Age Riot exhibit. This kicks at 11am on Saturday the 8th and promises some joyously funky fringe dwelling creativity of its own, I’d say it’s a gig you won’t want to miss. Have a fun and safe weekend all, and we’ll be back soon with more of, In Byron Bay Today.

Saturday morning saw a couple metres of south swell with a period of about 10 seconds lighting up beaches around Sydney. South Narrabeen was looking tasty early with offshore conditions...
What a great weekend! So what if Huey didn’t deliver as expected – the sun shone, the wind blew offshore and there were waves! I burnt a bit of petrol cruising round...
