Make your luck

Hello Friends,

As you probably know, we’re in for a high of 28 today thanks to a shipment of hot inland air. Not much wind about at the moment, but Huey’s plan is to dial it up to 15-20 kts by lunch at into the 20-30 kt range by close of play. We have about a metre of SSE swell at around 10 seconds apart, so on sets you should see wave faces in the chest high range. It looks as though these conditions prevail up and down the NSW coast, so travelling about probably isn’t going to yield any dramatic improvement to your prospects. It’s the old story: if you found waves there yesterday, check it first today.

Since the wind is due to pick up so dramatically, my guess is that it will likely flatten the swell significantly. But from the look of the models, we should have a little something trickling in tomorrow morning and maybe even on Tuesday. Thereafter things look very spring like – ie, marginal to flat.

Go well with your day!
