Warm one coming up

Hello Friends,

Could get to 30 in Sydney today says the Bureau. Swell’s coming from the east this morning. It’s averaging around 1.5 metres at sea and the latest data shows the average period is about 9 seconds with some 11 sec component in there to keep it interesting. Wind’s out of the N-NW and set to increase during the morning before it swings around to the NE.

From the look of the buoy data up and down the coast this morning, it would appear that Sydney’s doing as well as anywhere. The power trend is downward right across the board, so on that basis alone, I’d be punting on a gradual decrease being evident by the end of the day.

The models are projecting a run of small to marginal but, with luck, not utterly flat conditions over the next 3-4 days.

Get out there if you can, and go well with whatever is coming your way today!

Not too consistent at the point for the first shift this morning.

Straighthander-itis continues to be an issue, but it's definitely big enough to surf.
