Weekend Review In Byron Bay Today
Posted on October 11th, 2009 in Byron, Local Colour.Welcome to In Byron Bay Today’s Weekend Review. It’s been an interesting week here in Byron Bay. Now to the surf, we’ve pretty much had waves all week, and provided you had a couple of different boards, or least a log in your quiver, then you would have scored. Speaking of surfing we popped into Sea Cell this evening to see Jai Lee and check the launch of the Captain Fin Co Australia. Nice fins guys, in fact so nice I even bought one for Yoko, so keep an eye out for these fins when they hit the market, they’re pretty cool. Now speaking of fins, I surfed right over the top of that bloody shark again this afternoon. It’s not huge, but it was big enough to give me a little hurry up and decide it’s time to get a wave in. While we’re still on the subject of surfing, I have a little confession make, that stunning Bob Brown you’ve been watching get built. Well it’s not really mine. In fact it’s very soon going to belong to one of you. You see it’s a special nose rider that Bob designed, and well it just looked too good, so I claimed it as mine and rode it. Yes, I know, Naughty Bear. Yoko says I got to own up, and give it away as planned before I damage it. So watch our photo comments to see if your name comes out, for your chance to claim $1600 dollars worth of 9’8” Bob Brown Nose Rider, In Byron Bay Today. BTW folks it’s already waxed because I did ride it, and I can vouch, it’s insane on the beak. I’ll be getting the same nose on my next log.
