Manly is definitely no stranger to surfboard displays. But take a walk around town from now until 9 November and you’ll see some pretty unusual looking ones in the windows of local shops and restaurants.

These surfboards have been painted and sculpted by some of the best local artists and will be out on display for you to enjoy throughout the Manly Festival of Surfing.

Then, they’ll go into hiding until Monday, 30 November. That night, the Global Surf Industries will host a live auction at the Steyne Hotel and all proceeds will go to the Disabled Surfers Association and Surfaid.

Global Surf Industries, once again, shows their big heart. This is the second year that they have pioneered this event and donated the 30 free surfboards for artists to paint and sculpt.
