They’re Off, And Racing, In Byron Bay Today.
Posted by: Big Ben on November 4th, 2009The Melbourne Cup may bring the nation to a halt everywhere else, but it was pretty much business as usual in Byron Bay today. It’s not that we don’t celebrate cup day here, we do, same as everyone else. It’s just the Byronian (Byron-Bohemian) lifestyle, whether lived as a resident or experienced as a visitor. Is so far from the norms of everyday living that, big celebrations that stop the nation as they say, are kind of water off a ducks back to us here in Byron Bay. What I mean by that is this. Life is celebrated here. Whether it’s a quiet sunset stroll, or having a few waves with your mates, we tend to make the most of each and every day in the bay. The big celebrations come and go. But we celebrate and love the simple day to day ways of just being, In Byron Bay Today.
