A faint suggestion of energy, but nothing surfable at 0800.

I concur with PB. Surf options are right down at the dismal setting to start our Sunday. Good morning to have slept in a bit as it turns out. The MHL data from Sydney and Eden are just about identical, so that says to me that we aren’t likely to see anything much in the way of improvement today.

The forecast south change has come through and is anywhere from 10-17 kts along our coastline as I write this. Great. Southerly and flat.

However…

The models continue to stick to their calls for a 2-3 day pulse of southerly swell. Some of them predict that we’re going to see something by tonight, but there is general agreement that it should be happening by tomorrow. The Bureau is on board with this and is calling for the swell to build tomorrow afternoon when it is also due to be hot and thunderstormy. I think it could be one of those days when it’s good one place for a few hours (NE protected spots mid afternoon and maybe semi-protected southerly spots toward dark).

With luck, we should have fun energy levels on Tuesday and Wednesday as well.
