Big Wednesday
Posted by: Don on December 2nd, 2009Hello Friends,
Very big and messy looking down at Dee Why, but not so messy that surfing is out of the question. In fact there were a fair number of punters (for the conditions) in the water. They seemed to be well over from the point though.
The latest MHL data is showing that the swell has come around more to the SE and it hasn’t dropped much since yesterday with heights at sea averaging around the 4 metre mark. More importantly, the period is up slightly to about 10 seconds.
From the look of the data down south, the swell in Sydney could lose a little size and power as the day goes along, but it ain’t gonna go flat. Wind is set to be SW to S this morning, swinging to onshores this afternoon.
I think I’ll head out shortly to see if I can get a few more pics for y’all…
