Bring back the Australia Day Surfboard Paddle
Posted by: Don on December 24th, 2009Longtime RealSurf friend, Ben G. wrote to us a couple weeks ago to see if we might get the word out on his campaign to bring back the Australia Day Surfboard Paddle across the Harbour.
Sez Ben…
“It was run for about 5 years up until 2007 and then due to a lack of sponsorship they pulled the pin.
“I got in touch with the Australia Day Council to see whether it was going ahead on Australia Day 2010 and it is once again not planned. They suggested, when I told them of other people that I know that are mad keen to do it that I should set up a facebook page or the like to try and rally some support.”
So, Ben’s done the deed and created a facebook page here where you can go and show your support for this great event.
