Farewell 2009, In Byron Bay Today.
Posted by: Big Ben on January 1st, 2010Farewell 2009, In Byron Bay Today. That’s it people, game over for 2009. Good God time flies when you’re having fun. It’s been a wild year for many, there’s been a lot of joy, some heartbreak as well, there’s people with games and stories to tell. Open wide come inside it’s……. Hang on, got lost in the Play School theme song for a moment. What’s that all about? New Years Eve does strange things to me, for some it’s birthdays, for me it’s New Year. I suppose for many years I’d look back at all the things I wanted to do and didn’t get the chance. Thank Huey I woke up some time ago and realised what a futile exercise in self flagellation that was. These days, I just quietly smile and remind myself to be grateful for all that I’ve had the chance to experience in the last twelve months. I don’t know how it’s been for you guys. I do know how it’s been for us, long, difficult, wonderfully enjoyable and ultimately rewarding. There’s been joyous happiness in witnessing the beauty, and opportunities for growth in the pain. I suspect I wouldn’t want to have anyway, other than the way it already is, In Byron Bay Today. Happy New Year folks may 2010 bring much happiness, peace and waves.
