From this morning…

Hello Friends,
Aw c’mon Huey! First day of the new year, and what have we got in old Sydney town? Knee high dribble that’s what. I really wish I had better news for you, but them’s the breaks, it’s summer time and all we can do is stay positive.
What we have is maybe a metre of 8 second period E by ENE swell, so it’s not exactly lighting up the old Dee Why. I’m going to get out and about briefly later, so I’ll see if I can find another picture or two for ya… but don’t be too disappointed if I don’t end up finding anything.
I’m still hoping we might see a little south pulse Sun-Mon. Monday morning in particular seems to be about the best prospect for lighter south wind and fading south swell.
Have a top old day!

Saturday morning saw a couple metres of south swell with a period of about 10 seconds lighting up beaches around Sydney. South Narrabeen was looking tasty early with offshore conditions...
What a great weekend! So what if Huey didn’t deliver as expected – the sun shone, the wind blew offshore and there were waves! I burnt a bit of petrol cruising round...
