The Goat’s Surf Forecast

SURF FORECAST ISSUED FRIDAY 14 MAY 2010: SEVEN DAY OUTLOOK FOR SYDNEY:

Bit of a blow from a Low offshore bringing in some waves for the weekend …easing back through the week. Southerly wind with it will not make for good conditions at exposed places. Take care >>>

Saturday: 3-4 metres South South East… which is pretty ‘South’, so around 2-3 metres at the beach.

Sunday: 2-3 metres South East.

Monday: around 2 metres South East.

Tuesday: 1-2 metres South East.

Wednesday: 1-2 metres South East.

Thursday:about 1 metre East South East.

Friday: about 1 metre North East.

Water temp is a balmy 24 –guess the East Coast Current is being pushed around and squeezed onshore by the East Coast Low… there’s warm water nearly down to the Mexican border…

Weather from the Bureau:

Check out the little number below… classic East Coast Low (without the rain)… winds and waves have been sculpting away at that coastline by the symmetry of it matching the weather pattern, i’d guess for ?? Millions of years …
