Some fun ones to be had at Manly

Went for a look down Manly way this morning and decided to get wet since there were a few fun looking little waves from about North Steyne down to south corner. Saw quite a few bods out at the Bower, but I reckon the period was just a bit too short for that place. There were occasional chest to head high waves at North Steyne, but it seemed to be backing off. A look at the latest data from the MHL buoy shows the primary swell direction swung pretty abruptly away from the ENE to the SE just before noon, plus the average size dropped back a bit too. Water was beautiful though!

Coming back via Curly a little before noon and it was looking less than stellar – smaller than Manly and weaker looking.

I’d say if the late is on your plan, that you’ll be wanting to take your little wave board and be prepared for the wind to be around to the NE as the tide comes in from the low at 1520.

Good luck!
