Clean small ones for the early

Hello Friends,

The marginal SSE wind swell continues to be, well, marginal. If only we had a few more decent banks around the place. The waves may be small, but they aren’t too tiny to catch. At Dee Why beach there are waist high sets which look like they would be really fun – if only the banks were better. There were a few sets trickling around the point as things got started this morning. The tide’s coming in across the morning, so I’d expect that we might have some issues as a consequence.

Outlook is for the swell to bumble along at around the current size all day. The wind is due to push up into the 15-25 kt range later as it swings from north to NE. So, it’ll be the usual deal with the action starting in the south corners and then moving toward the protected north ones later.

The trends seem not to be trending much over the next few days. It looks as though little waves in the mornings will lead to fading conditions later in the day. There seems to be some small hope for a brief improvement at the weekend before we drift back into more of this bumping along at marginal levels next week.

Have yourself a top old day one and all!
