Sunny and clean little waves

Hello Friends,

The morning forecast calls for a 40% chance of showers, but when I grabbed a snap of Dee Why, the skies were more sunny than cloudy. But, better than that, the two metre south swell’s power setting  improved to around 9 seconds overnight. The wind is set to remain light and the skies are supposed to clear too. All up, it’s looking like a day to get in the water at your favourite south swell spot. The models are showing the swell gradually fading toward dark, so the earlier you get into it, the better.

Day willing, I should be back later with an afternoon update.

Go well with your day!

Weather Situation

A trough will linger inland on Friday as a weak ridge builds up in Tasman Sea and along the coast. A cold front approaching from the southwest is expected to reach the far southeast late Friday and to extend through the remainder of New South Wales on Saturday. A high pressure system is then expected to move to the Southern Ocean west of Tasmania where it will remain for several days. This pattern will bring a south to southwesterly airstream to the coast on the weekend, before tending more southeasterly early next week.

Forecast for Friday until midnight

Forecast for Saturday

Winds: North to northwesterly 10 to 20 knots ahead of a southerly change 20 to 30 knots during the morning then tending southerly 15 to 20 knots later in the evening. Seas: Up to 3 metres. Swell: Southerly about 2 metres. The chance of thunderstorms offshore in the morning.
