Beautiful morning but oh so small

Hello Friends,

Well, were it not for the 9 seconds or so of period, the little one metre east swell trickling in this morning would be all but invisible. The middle part of the Dee Why to Longy stretch was picking up the odd knee to waist high set, so I’d expect that would be much the same at other stretches that like east. Wind is lightly offshore to start things off, but the Bureau says we can expect it to go more to the NE during the afternoon.  The swell models point to the possibility of a faint increase in swell size at that point, but my hunch is it won’t really amount to much because the biggest spots are going to be where the wind is most strongly onshore.

Speaking of the models, I don’t really see anything to make me think the Goat’s call for the coming week needs any modification. It really looks pretty dire for our stretch of the east coast. With luck it won’t slip down to absolute flatness across the work week but for this weekend, it will go pretty close.

Aw well, at least we can all bank a few brownie points…

Have yourself a great Saturday!
