The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Friday 1 July 2011: Seven day outlook for Sydney:  First forecast for the start of the new financial year – (that should set off the search engines haha  🙂   Oh did I not say:  first SURF forecast…

Anyhoo… smallish for the weekend, then smaller as a strong westerl wndy starts to take effect and bring down the air temp too… Then coming up as the result of the strong westerlies brewing way down in the Southern Ocean start to be felt on our coast.  Btw I wouldn’t be heading off to sail to NZ later this week – looks to me like it’ll be Large out in the Tasman…

Saturday, Sunday: in the 1- 2 metre range and dropping.

Monday: about 1 metre of North East windswell.

Tuesday: less than 1 metre East.

Wednesday: … when you wake up there should be a little surpise for you – the first signs of building 2-3 metres of South East swell.

Thursday: similar and getting a bit bigger.

Friday: say 3-4 metres South East.

Water temp is still a pleasant 20 or so.
