"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

ESE. What more is there to say?

Hello Friends,

Ocean is very torn up this morning thanks to 10-20 kts of ESE wind. The Bureau says the wind will get around to the east soon and push up a bit more into the 15-25kt range. That the swell is out of the SE at a touch over the two metre mark with a period of nearly 8 seconds, is almost beside the point. No one was in the water at Dee Why that I could see and given the wind setting, I’m not really sure where you could go that wouldn’t be horribly messy.

Just to make things really excellent for early risers, tide was high at 0800. Oh, and there’s a 70% chance of rain today.

The general outlook hasn’t changed significantly for the Sydney region. We’re into another week to ten days of onshores according to the models. All that wind means that there will be wave activity but there aren’t likely to be too many opportunities to pick up something worthy. Even early risers are probably not going to beat the breezes.

Oh well, time to think about those onshore surfin’ skills I guess!

Have yourself a great day.
