Not much, but not flat

Hello Friends,

Nice sky furniture this morning, but Huey’s been a little slapdash on the surf arrangements. Light wind out of the north, that’s okay, but the swell settings? Not so hot. The MHL buoy is showing about a metre of east 8 second period wind swell. There’s also some 12 second stuff in amongst it though. And it may be that in particular that is delivering the odd waist to chest high set. But the quality at Dee Why was unspectacular, to put it mildly. Still, the water’s warm and it’s not flat, so I’d have a look at your favourite spot this morning just in case there’s a little something to tempt…

Go well with your Friday one and all!

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea is maintaining a ridge to the northern New South Wales coast. A trough will bring a brief weak southerly change to the south today before stalling on the central coast during Saturday. Later on the weekend the Tasman Sea high will weaken and move away, allowing a low to develop in its place. This development, in association with a new high approaching from the west, is forecast to bring a more robust southerly change to the coast on Monday.
