"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Better late?

Hello Friends,

Don’t want to break my string, so here’s an afternoon* update:

Was down at Dee Why for lunch and can tell you that the wind was surprisingly benign and there were little SE sets into the chest high range on some of the banks down toward No Mans. Even saw a couple sets in that category come through the point, but mostly it was too small to surf there.

Current MHL data is showing 1.5 metre of SE wind swell at around 9 seconds apart. Wind was light NNE as of 1430.

Tomorrow the wind should be back to SE at a junk inducing 15-25 kts. The swell should push up a notch too, and be into the 2+ metre range. So, there just might be some options in the corners. However, if the water at Dee Why’s anything to go by, you’ll be taking your chances in a pretty serious way. It really looks pretty disgusting. The prospect of rain overnight and into tomorrow afternoon will only make things worse.

Have a good Thursday!
