Morning folks. A fresh southerly has just kicked in that looks to be about 15-20 knots. Needless to say, it’s messed things up. Never mind — surf is still pretty much flat, though the wind has blown up a few knee to waist high sets but not much beyond that at this stage.
Should see the swell start to build from this afternoon through the next few days with the wind shifting gradually to the east by morning then nor’east by Thursday. Swell is forecast to get into 2m territory but the onshores will keep it pretty messy. In and E swell there’s nowhere to hide from the wind really so you’ll just have to make the best of the mess.
