Dee Why: Chunky

Fresh south swell on Sydney beaches at first light this morning. Big crew out there on it first thing, but quite a few have had their fill and headed off to work it appears. Longy bombies are on fire and it’s breaking all the way to the third bombie. Dee Why is pretty viscous-looking up the middle with the odd close-out set pouring across from Dee Why Point all the way to Longy. Loads of water moving around on the reefs and not looking too friendly out there for anyone without a jetski.  The Point is definitely rideable but it’s breaking pretty fast and you’d be wanting a pretty beefy gun or some strong arms to catch them.

Water temperature is at 21.5, down a degree from yesterday. Swell is showing 3.5-5.5 m from SSE at 11-13 seconds.
