Firing, In Byron Bay Today.
Posted by: Big Ben on June 14th, 2012Yep the car park was chaotic, the rumour mill was buzzing, and the crew were firing on all cylinders, in Byron Bay today. Seriously though with the waves we had, who could blame them, not me that’s for sure. I often muse that it’s funny what living here can do to the way we perceive waves. We can get so used to surfing tiny stuff on a regular basis that something a bit solid suddenly looks huge when it hits the bay. At first glance massive was the call, after all it’s so rare for our banks to hold anything of real consequence. But upon reflection that’s really up to the individual. What it was though, was downright bloody good, and it took considerable experience, talent and some reasonable sized potatoes to get amongst it. There was enough power to get those in the know firing, and enough water moving around to keep those who don’t, on the beach. The end result was a joy to shoot as the crew had room to move. It was their chance to get fired up, and just pull into a few with the confidence of having no traffic in the lineup, In Byron Bay Today.
