3:30PM UPDATE:The front smashed it’s way through this morning and the surf jumped instantly but it was so south you could see the big lumps going north. From my place it looked like the bombies off long reef started breaking but could have just been the raging wind. 3:30pm and it’s settled a bit. It’s cleanish but windy at south Manly with a few waves getting in there now. Queensy about 4 ft sets but crap. Some of these things start with a pulse, back off then smash in again. Wait and see….
Looks like one of those south swells that will double in size with every beach you head north from Manly. Manly is scraping in a weak 2ft and it’s supposed to blow up over the next 24hours. Sunday looks like the real peak to me with the usual south corners the place to hide. And you thought winter had gone….
