Observation, In Byron Bay Today’s Week in Review.
Posted by: Big Ben on October 1st, 2012. Everybody down the beach seems to be talking about how crowded it is in the bay. The really weird part is you’d think it’s the locals complaining, but it’s not. I keep getting visitors coming up to me and saying. ‘Hey is it usually this crowded, because if it is, I’m not coming back!’ I answer, that this seems to be the new paradigm, thanks to marketing campaigns aimed at filling the bay. This is usually then met with a blank stare as it sinks in, then the comment. ‘What, are they really that stupid?’ Suffice to say, it has been my observation that it’s not just the locals that don’t like the big crowds. The simple fact is the visitors don’t really like it either. Sadly it appears that despite the evidence that abounds about this reality. We are all being dragged unwillingly down the unsustainable path of more, more, more, In Byron Bay Today.
