Most Popular August 2012, In Byron Bay Today.
Posted by: Big Ben on October 12th, 2012Yes it’s about that time again to trawl through our stats and publish a most popular shots update from, in Byron Bay today. This time it’s August 2012. It was a bit of a strange month. The spring weather arrived early and after so much swell over the first two months of winter, August was in comparison pretty flat. But for those who were patient and who knew where to look and when, there were waves to be found around the traps. But most noticeable of all during August this year was just how many sharks were spotted in and around the bay. The shark photo we’ve published here was of a Pointer that was following a Kayak around the cape. The beastie was easily 5-6m one of the largest I’ve seen for some time. That shot alone has received more than 20,000 views since we published it. Seems people rather like to look at sharks, from a safe distance that is , In Byron Bay Today.

Saturday morning dawned sunny and offshore at Dee Why beach. The crew were on it, and before I went for a surf myself, I shot for an hour from about 0840. I would’ve taken even...
