Dropped away to small

Hello Friends,

The Bureau still has its warning about large swells breaking dangerously close inshore, but as with yesterday, there really doesn’t seem to be anything terribly frightening going on. In fact, it looks like you’d be doing well to get something much above the waist high mark at Dee Why. Undoubtedly there would be the odd bigger one at more exposed spots, but I wouldn’t think the word “large” terribly relevant.

The wind should be out of the NE today, so north corners with south exposure are pretty obviously the go.

Next tide is the high at 1110.

Should get up to 25 today and skies will be partly cloudy. So, a nice enough Sunday shaping up.

Not much of interest on the swell forecasts for the week ahead. The general trend looks like small to very small short period wind waves across the next 5-7 days. There might possibly be a bit of a bump toward the end of the week, but the hopeful outlook is not shared across all the models, so I’m not getting too excited yet.

A question without notice… I need tile roof expert to assess the one on my joint and I wondered if anyone had a particularly good experience (and therefore a contact) they could pass along. If so, please drop me a line via don [at] realsurf [dot] com.

Go well!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is directing north to northeasterly winds across New South Wales. This high is expected to remain slow-moving through the first half of next week, directing progressively warmer more humid and increasing northerly winds over New South Wales as a trough approaches from the west. The trough and an associated cold front currently appear likely reach the coast later in the week.
