About the same as yesterday

Hello Friends,

RealSurf HQ was socked in at report writing time this morning. I’ll eyeball it in an hour or so, but looking at the MHL data, I’d say that it’s still very small and weak because the numbers are, if anything, slightly worse than yesterday, and yesterday was just about flat. We’re looking at 6 second average period with waves at not much more than a metre and coming from the NE. Wind is lightly from the south. Next high tide is at 1050 and tide will be low at 1730.

From the shape of the swell forecast modelling this morning, we’re in for another couple days of this stuff before Huey kicks some south energy our way from about Wednesday. On current reckoning, it’ll be onshore but okay size on Wednesday and then, maybe, we’ll see a better wind and swell combo for Thursday morning.

Have yourself a great Monday!

Weather Situation
A broad low pressure trough lies over the western Tasman Sea. The trough will move to the north during Tuesday and weaken as a vigorous southerly change associated with a cold front crossing the southern Tasman Sea develops on New South Wales far south coast in the morning and moves north in the afternoon and evening. Southerly winds are expected to ease on Thursday as a high pressure system moves towards the Bight strengthening a ridge to the east.
