The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Friday 1 February 2013:  Seven day ooutlook for Sydney:

Hard to get excited about weekend propects.

The Southerly change today thrashed the stuffing out of the Easterly swell we’ve had all week just as it looked like it might start trending down to a more manageble size for most.

Even though there should still be waves through the weekend, the Southerly /South West/East / South East winds forecast means the wave surface will be pretty chopped up most of the time.

Saturday: around 2 metres and more East South East

Sunday: similar

Monday: upper end of 1-2 metre range East

Tuesday: 1-2 metres East South East

Wednesday: lower end 1-2 metre range East

Thursday: in the 1-2 metre range North East

Friday: ditto

Water temp is around 22
